Nose to the grindstone 2025
Exactly.

I don't think we have any current tests.

Another YMAA day off - more use or loss vacay day. I’m just gonna be lazy again, methinks. I’ll keep an eye out for tornadoes. Maybe I’ll spend my Amazon money on some frivolous stuff.

Day off in theory, but must get blood draw and then check shop appointment sched to see if I accidentally booked someone tomorrow. Otherwise, day off

Crawled into bed until the head cold goes away. Lily was kind enough to hit me in the face.

Sorry to hear you’re still not feeling well.

I stayed in bed looking at my phone until Stacy called (she’s over the hill for some clients) which prompted Yuki to come in to tell me he needs a walk, which I’ll do as soon as I finish my morning tea. Broke into the duck shit. It’s flavorful and I’m not a big oolong fan.

No Friday appointments; there weren't supposed to be any, but this illness/lack-of-sleep thing has dulled my edge. Blood-draw was super-easy, then dropped off major desserts on the baristas, who were properly ecstatic. Took the scenic route home, past stormy seas and through wind-tossed woods. Now back in my cave drinking coffee and thinking about dessert...!

Since yesterday was devoted to dog care, all the stuff I planned to do was put on hold. I’ll tend to it today.

Then tonight is the 1st annual anniversary of Outernational, the DJ reggaes that I’ve been going to all year at the Woodhouse. DJ Robert Rankin is sitting in, who has become a good friend, which kinda trips me out as he was one of the DJs that I cut my reggae teeth with as he’s been on the air for over 30 years now. My partner-in-crime Ben will be joining me for some hardcore skankin. Been jonzing for some bass. I need a fix cuz I’m going down, down to the pits that I left uptown…

A recovery day after an irie night. Last day of my 5-day YMAA break, which really wasn't complete because I did have to tend to a few time-sensitive YMAA tasks and did a lot of KFM stuff on Friday.

Today is laundry, cleaning chores, and rest. Might run to the store for more cheese.

Monday blues. A major work day. Then up to SF Chinatown to be a witness at a disciple ceremony.

Got work - mostly putting stuff in order for next week’s vacay. All the heavy lifting is done; now it’s just tying up loose ends. And I have a meeting with an ontraport tech (that’s the emailblast management system i use for YMAA).

Then over the hill to visit my mom and pay rent there. Stacy & Tara are visiting Stacy’s dad; I might join them if I can figure out what to do with Yuki. They’re planning to visit midday which might not work out for me.

Curiosity has compelled me to walk down to the mailbox to find out what is making the mailbox so full the USPS couldn't deliver a package.
