Nose to the grindstone 2025
The morning meetings are done. Now it's a dive into work, then a break with Yuki, then iai tonight.

I was amused that I had nothing to write over the last few days. That changed quickly.

Dropped Stacy off at SJC with time to spare thanks to a capp run to Verve otw. Got home & went to Kung Fu. Had a decent session (sometimes I’m stronger when I’m on edge) but I gassed out in my weapons - things nosedived during guandao. Now I’m waiting for Tara & JJ to arrive from SF. They’re spending the night here as a quick getaway (we’re still a tourist town, after all). Tara’s thinking Betty’s for dinner. JJ is a carnivore and carnivores (like Greg) have approved of Betty’s secret spice recipe.

Might write a bit until they get here. Or take a nap, although that Verve bump is saying ‘no nap for you!’

Off to yoga soon.

Then Over hill, over dale,
Thorough bush, thorough brier,
Over park, over pale,
Thorough flood, thorough fire;
I do wander everywhere,
Swifter than the moon’s sphere.

Then maybe Grateful Sunday.

Or not.

Doesn't look like you have Train Beer on your itinerary.

Truly a loss for all humanity
In the Tudor Period, Fencing Masters were classified in the Vagrancy Laws along with Actors, Gypsys, Vagabonds, Sturdy Rogues, and the owners of performing bears.

No train beer

Nite whiskey. Perhaps a shot too many. Made for an unpleasant Monday. But the heavy lifting is done for work (had a major temubot raid on KFM that cost me my morning). Gotta catch up later tonight.

I made a major error in a history piece I was doing for Rock Med about our relationship to the Grateful Dead for the nooBs and I really upset a dear friend by a thoughtless omission on my part. I’ve been kicking myself and wondering where my brain is to err so. Maybe Stacy is right - she usually is. She was looking at my schedule and reminding me that I’m not 29 anymore. But I seem to be regressing and now I’m derailing myself.

Today I have 2 meetings - one where I must report missing goal last month, my first miss of the year. Then over to svale with Yuki to see mom. Tara will be at the house tomorrow night which will hopefully ease his anxiety about being there. I need to write and work. Sales are still down and I must get ahead for the incoming storm.

I forgot to eat breakfast. When Yuki & I got back from Verve, I jumped right into a telemeeting and spaced it out until just now when I started making lunch. No wonder I’m so irritable.

Back at the bungalow. Yuki was glad to see Tara last night, but he doesn't like going to svale. Not sure why. But he was great with visiting my mom - very well behaved.

I'm just working today. Then I'm planning on supporting Alex, a classmate of Tara's that has backpacked with us. He's DJing a show tonight and will be playing sitar.

I think I only have 2 meeting today because 1 is getting cancelled. I need to go downtown to get a gift for a 20 month old girl. Maybe a nice tiedye onesie. Then I have iai.

But the main event tomorrow will be to once again boldly go…
