Telemeetings were brutal because it was like 2am for me

Gonna crash for a bit, then make a quick visit to my mom (today is her 96th bday), then back to crash a bit more. Might bail on Iaido tonight although I have gifts for my sensei & classmates. I’ll probably work late night tonight when I’m awake again.

Yesterday’s goals were achieved including a mad run through the commute to Barketplace to get Yuki’s food resupplied. I don’t think I mentioned that Stacy had a horrible flair up of shoulder pain when I left for Japan that kept her from driving over hwy17. It’s been diagnosed as calcified tendinitis and she’s going to rehab for it, not working and stepping back to beginner classes in yoga. It’s been devastating for her with the initial pain being &-10 on that pain scale. 
I must work through the weekend - swap days for my vacation. But the work can be done at any time so it’ll give me the weekend to reset my circadians. Not stressing it. I’ve still got Labor Day off and may go up to SF for a free deadhead gathering and a potential meet up with one of my kftc authors.

Is that the dreaded "Frozen Shoulder" for Stacy?

Similar but different. Frozen shoulder is inflammation of the shoulder capsule. Calcific tendinitis is a build up of calcium crystals in the rotator cuff. Both are intensely painful but CT has a sudden onset and in painful at rest while FS is a slow build of time and is less painful when resting. We’re getting a crash course in CT; fortunately Stacy got a good PT and that seems to be helping. It’s all about PT & NSAIDs for her now. She just got back to where she can play the piano with both hands again today, so that’s some improvement.

It’s back to Kung Fu first thing in the morning. I’ve been out of practice for a few weeks now. Then work - a swap day to catch up from my absence. I’m in fair shape for YMAA but behind for KFTC. Hoping to clear the week’s YMAA tasks off my desk so I can focus on some writing. I just accepted a gig on Labor Day. I was planning to go to the free dead concert in the park but this interview dropped in my lap yesterday and I just couldn’t resist it. They sent me a screener which I’ll watch tonight.

Today is another straight up work swap day. Gotta build a fresh YMAA fb ad and do some spam scheduling plus finish up some writing for KFM (got about half of it done last night) plus a few odd tasks, and finish that screener for tomorrow.

Today is the celebration of our anniversary, #7, which, according to Science, is the SangriaVersary. We’ll start our stately procession at Zeitgeist and then slowly make our way to The Latin-American Club and then to Esperpento for the sangria.

Stops will be made at Paxton Gate and The Pirate Store, maybe Dog Eared Books.

I had planned to take the day off and go up to SF for the free deadhead concert at GGP and to have lunch with a tai chi master that’s writing for us (she almost came down to SDCC but I dissuaded her from that plan because she’s based in LA and that would’ve bern a lot to coordinate). But I got invited. To a press day for All Wishes Come True at the Mercado of all places, and I just couldn’t resist that. That’s in the afternoon. Still have some loose ends to tie up for work in the morning, but the rest of the day is off.

Just got a text from Tara. She’s boarding her flight home. I have one meeting first thing, then up to SFO, then take Tara to svale, then up to Tiger Claw to pick up the new issue (it’s only 1 month late) then visit mom, then crash at svale. A lot of driving tomorrow. Got some canned coffee on sale - good to go.
