I dig a pygmy by Charles Haughtry and the deaf aids. Phase one in which Greg gets his oats.
The release date for MK has been pushed back an extra week to give GvK more room. I’m not sure if this will affect my interviews. WB PR has things sewn up tight. I’m scheduled for Taslim tomorrow already, plus tentatives for the director again and Tan next week. These are one-on-ones.

Joe Taslim was super cool. Charming and friendly, but I got in quick by telling him that I've seen all of his films except for Hit & Run (which is true). Plus I told him how I didn't recognize him in The Swordsman until I noticed his eyebrows (also true). I got several laughs out of him and at the end, we both said we could talk to each other for much longer, but we ran out of time.
I have the director again and Lewis Tan on Monday. I really have very little for the director, but am looking forward to connecting with Lewis again. I wonder if he'll remember me.

In the Tudor Period, Fencing Masters were classified in the Vagrancy Laws along with Actors, Gypsys, Vagabonds, Sturdy Rogues, and the owners of performing bears.

I know, right? I wish I had time to tell him about my UNESCO article but Warner Brothers are a pain in the ass about press junkets.
He had these Clark Kent like glasses on, but he's got a disarming smile and spoke a lot about acting and getting into character. He's really the best thing about the new Mortal Kombat. Him and Sanada. Tan is good for what he does, so I gotta give him credit too, but Taslim is Sub-Zero, the villain, and he kills it quite literally.

I’m in the virtual break out room for the Lewis Tan interview. WB keeps us corralled here until it’s our turn to talk with the talent. Usually it’s pretty lively - industry reporters chatting each other up and out-needing each other. But it’s quiet today. 5 of us here and 2 WB reps and everyone has turned off their camera except me and one other dude who has a major collection of figurines on a shelf behind him. I’m not up to starting up a convo with him. He already looks like he’d own me in the nerd-verse.
And here we wait...

Speaking of nerds, I dropped by my moms last Friday to bring her some flowers for Easter and get some lunch. We decided on City Fish on Stevens Creek, across from the MV Post Office. I went up to pick up our sandwiches and two guys seated out front were discussing Lost in Space (TOS) trivia. Did you know the Lost in Space robot had a name (or at least a designation)? Apparently it was mentioned in the first episode.
I couldn’t remember it, but this came from Wikipedia: “ Series 1A-1998 Class YM-3 Model B-9 General Utility Non-Theorizing Environmental Control Robotic Bion, also known as simply 1A1998YM3B-9 G.U.N.T.E.R., Class M-3 Robot or Class YM Robot” It was like the Simpsons comic book guy having lunch with himself... —tg

My interview with Lewis went perfectly. After nearly an hour in the waiting room, when I got in I was ready to give him a quick reminder of who I was and he beat me to the punch saying it was good to see me again and how he was just telling the PR reps that he knew me. So that was cool.
He came off as much more humble than he was before. He was super cocky previously, which I understand because he really had to scrap for roles. Now I wait for the director which is later this evening. So I had a toy Robot when I was a kid. It was fairly big if memory serves. I remember attaching some scotch tape to it to simulate the 'tape' that they always pulled off it to deactivate it. I was very young.

I have (in a box somewhere) the LiS Robot...about 12" high, with a motion detector that would set off the "Danger Danger!" alert, but sadly that doesn't work anymore...someone must have pulled out his tape.

Can we change tg's name to 'thatgunter' and direct his robot posts here - http://www.brotherhoodofdoom.com/doomFor...p?tid=4672.
Asking for a friend...

You encouraged him. And if we move his posts, the other posts will just look odd.
