Last major day before Nationals starts was today. Got all of the repairs done (thanks to my Henchperson for coming in for an extra day). Last day of lessons for me until Monday. The club will close on Thursday. I fly out to Europa on Sunday.

Such a casual flex. Yeti ftw
Yesterday, Stacy & I strolled about Chinatown and union square. Had lunch at House of Nanking. Then the retirement party dinner was at Caffe Sport in little Italy. I had oysters & linguine with clams. We spent a lot of money but ate very well.
It’s another Kung Fu Saturday morn. Then up for day 2 of the evil twin retirement party - Giants v Braves - we have a suite.

Rototilling some amendments into the Adobe that is our sideyard soil. (Free compost from Sunnyvale!) then installing gopher baskets as the plot is actually a subterranean gopher highway. Put down weed screen as the plot becomes a foxtail and sour grass forest in the spring, and finally a row of 20 fragrant lavender plants that I got on sale from Home Depot for this project a few weeks ago. It was during the heat wave and I didn't want to get them in the ground until it passed (luckily a coincidentally hadn't yet prepared the bed for them...). I put them in tubs in the shade and have been watering them regularly. It turns out, lavender doesn't like that and most of the plants are now half dead.
I'm hoping the awesome new accommodations I'm giving them springs them back to life.
Later, I'm meeting up with an open mic-RR to practice this song we hope to do on Monday:
Then it's off to The Guild for a ska show. I won a couple of tickets by being one of the first to answer "What does the band name 'Let's Go Bowling!' mean?" It's a double bill with them and Monkey.

I'm guessing Amsterdam and Berlin

Cold or allergy?
I’m playing hooky from yoga & washing my bedding because I am plagued with biting parasites again. Gonna make a grocery run before heading to the Greg jelly D00M moon gathering at the fruit orchard. Then home for Yuki walkies.

Right? Like $250 worth of lux for just the two of us. But it was a tasty splurge and very filling.

Paris!? Crazy talk.
I hear it might be a tad toasty there right now.

Yup. I hate traveling in Summer, but the fencing season is a harsh mistress

Oh là là! Paris in summer is too hot. Would you like a little more whine with your baguette?
How do you say ‘jelly’ in French again?
It’s yet another dreary Monday (hard to believe I’ve spent a 7th of my life here). 2 telemeets and a desk full of work. Need to go back to the grocery store because I forgot to get one of the main things I went there for. Also should do laundry…

You were the one going to jury duty. How'd that go, anyway?

One telemeet then work, then over for a quick Tiger Claw meeting, then visiting my mom then more work, then trying out the newly built shower in my mom's home.
