This season, Lestat (Reid) goes on an electric multi-city tour while being haunted by “muses” from his wild and rebellious past. As his band’s popularity and star power rises, so does Lestat’s influence over vampires and humans alike, leaving others to contend with Lestat’s power in the face of the Great Conversion, an unnatural surge in the vampire population.

Based on the play by Sandler, YAGA reimagines the Slavic folk tale of the Baba Yaga witch, as a contemporary mystery thriller. It follows Rapp (Reid), a private investigator who arrives in a small coastal town to investigate the disappearance of a young heir to a powerful fishery, Henry Park (Hudson Williams, Heated Rivalry). Rapp finds himself at odds with an apprehensive local detective, Carson (Backo); a charismatic university professor, Katherine (Moss) and a labyrinth of enigmatic suspects, secret lives and ancient magic. YAGA is an original series from Canadian streamer Crave, produced by Blink49 Studios and Front Street Pictures in association with Bell Media. YAGA is distributed internationally by Sphere Abacus, a Bell Media company.

Apple TV will be making a big splash in Hall H at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con International for the first time ever, reports Deadline.
The lineup for its two-hour panel set for 2 p.m. Saturday, July 25, includes the horror comedy “Widow’s Bay” — which just landed 19 Emmy nominations — the John Cena Mattel action movie “Matchbox,” the Ryan Reynolds movie “Mayday” as well as series “Dark Matter” and “Silo.”
Apple is holding a sneak-preview screening of the first episode of the second season of “Dark Matter,” which premieres August 28. There’s also a “Silo” multi-sensory installation that will transport visitors into the silo itself.
San Diego Comic-Con runs Thursday, July 23-Sunday, July 26, with preview night on Wednesday, July 22. It’s a comic book convention and multi-genre entertainment event held annually. Founded in 1970, originally showcasing primarily comic books and science fiction/fantasy media, Comic-Con has grown to include a large range of pop culture and entertainment elements across virtually all genres.

I don't watch AppleTV. I do have one of those free subscriptions that I have yet to activate because I just got a new iPhone. But I probably won't watch any of these shows, so I won't make the Hall H line for this.

I think he was there last year too. There was a huge Peacemaker installation in the Gaslamp but I didn't go because I don't watch that show.
I am officially getting inundated with SDCC press invites now. Getting like a dozen a day. I'm only posting the ones that catch my eye now.

Quote:Hey Gene,
Since 2008, Meow Wolf has been building portals into other dimensions you can walk through. Now these dimensions are getting animated by the iconic studio behind Beavis and Butt-Head, Big Mouth, and The Venture Bros.: Titmouse.
The renegade studio is animating Meow Wolf's upcoming Los Angeles exhibition, as well as developing a television series rooted in Meow Wolf lore.
Headed to San Diego Comic-Con? We'll share some fun reveals in a panel on Thursday, July 23 from 4:00–5:00 PM in Room 25ABC. See the press release below and let me know if you'd like an interview, materials, or more. - Erin

Meow Wolf and Titmouse Announce Creative Partnership
Across Immersive Entertainment and Animation
The multi-year collaboration includes an animated series development based on the Meow Wolf story universe, animation production for Meow Wolf Los Angeles, a major San Diego Comic-Con panel reveal, and more
LOS ANGELES, CA, July 9, 2026 – Meow Wolf, the punk-born arts company known for transforming warehouses into wormholes, and Titmouse, the Emmy-winning renegade animation studio behind iconic favorites like Big Mouth, The Venture Bros., and Beavis and Butt-Head, today announced a new multi-year creative partnership spanning animation, immersive storytelling, and the development of an original series.
The collaboration will include co-development of original animated series projects based on Meow Wolf’s expansive story universe, with both Titmouse and Meow Wolf serving as Executive Producers. Titmouse Co-founder and CEO Chris Prynoski will oversee development on behalf of the studio. In addition, Titmouse will produce and direct animation for Meow Wolf’s upcoming Los Angeles exhibition, currently slated to open in Q4 2026, while also consulting on the exhibition’s visual and narrative design. The project marks the first large-scale collaboration between the two companies and lays the foundation for future creative projects together over the coming years.
“The first time I experienced Meow Wolf, my third eye popped open like a busted piñata. The color and texture and sound and chaos reverse-bled into my psychic veins,” said Prynoski. “I instantly knew these artists and their souls, although I had not yet met them. Now we are teaming up to tell stories that burst from the page onto the screen and then into the real world. Together, we’re not just pushing the envelope of animation, we’re folding it into an origami spirit and riding it through the psychedelic multiverse.”

Still from animation for Meow Wolf's LA exhibit
“Titmouse and Meow Wolf are born from the same place - artist-founded, artist-driven, fearless and independent.” said James Stephenson, SVP and Creative Director of Emerging Media at Meow Wolf. “Both studios have always been interested in finding the outer edges of what a story can be, what an audience can experience, and what is creatively even possible. By teaming up, we have brought together talents from many different disciplines to craft an experience in LA that is unlike any other - a truly new way to immerse yourself in our stories and worlds. And we could not be more excited to be partnering with them now to bring those stories and worlds to life far beyond our exhibition walls.”
Fans will get an early look at the collaboration during San Diego Comic-Con with the panel “Weirder Together: Meow Wolf + Titmouse,” taking place Thursday, July 23 from 4:00–5:00 PM in Room 25ABC.
Known for their visually ambitious storytelling and authentic creative identities, Titmouse and Meow Wolf share a common approach to worldbuilding: creating immersive, emotionally resonant experiences that extend beyond traditional entertainment formats. Titmouse has built a global reputation for bold, creator-driven animation that pushes the boundaries of the medium, while Meow Wolf has transformed immersive entertainment through large-scale interactive exhibitions visited by millions of fans nationwide. Together, the companies aim to expand how audiences experience original stories across physical spaces, animation, and multimedia platforms.
Additional details surrounding the Los Angeles exhibition and future animation projects will be announced in the coming months.

It's tempting. I'd love to meet Kolstad. I'm confused by the pin thing. Bali Hai is way on the other side of the bay (kinda nearer to my hotel).
It's the same time as the Enhyphen appearance at the Hard Rock, which is right across the street from the convention center in the Gaslamp. I was watching some of the Enhyphen vampire videos last night. I'm not that into their sound - total pretty sissy boy K-pop, but I do like their vampire schtick. It's kinda Lost Boys.
Saturday is always the Big Crunch day, when all the cool stuff goes down.
