Godzilla Minus One
#16
Godzilla Minus One is now on Netflix. I know what I'm watching tonight.
As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm

And now I am in the group that has seen Minus One.

And it was a bit of all right. I could have done with more Godzilla action and less living in the shattered remains of Tokyo, but I'll allow it. The ending went as I thought it would but I did think the pilot was going to be tricked into doing what he did. And the pilot did have a good arc. It was all pretty fun.

The effects were awesome. But I kept thinking of a giant dog whenever I saw Godzilla's head.

Doom recommended.

I watched this again on Netflix over several nights. For me, it was a testament on big screen vs home. Godzilla was awesome on the big screen - towering, colossal, gargantuan - on my TV, his impact was painfully diluted.

The film is still a great piece of storytelling, an exploration of Japan's post-WWII PTSD, but the star of the show, Godzilla, needs more screen.

Still D00M recommended.

We need that movie where Kong and Godzilla just throw train cars at each other while hiding behind buildings.

I'm told that was good in 4D.

I have yet to see a film in 4D.

Enjoyed. The characters were stereotypes, but the acting was better than most previous Godzilla movies that I can remember. I didn't like the scene transitions. I think they could have done something more there. I guessed the main character's story ark right after Ginza. Shannon guessed the twist. I like that they used the 1954 main theme a lot towards the end. Such a great theme...

I wasn't tearing up at the end of a Godzilla movie, you were!
In the Tudor Period, Fencing Masters were classified in the Vagrancy Laws along with Actors, Gypsys, Vagabonds, Sturdy Rogues, and the owners of performing bears.
