The Peripheral

Seen it. Enjoyed it. All sorts of twisty. I think what works is making the viewer having to pay close attention to what is going on. Chloe Grace does a really good job of being the strong center. And there was that weird dynamic when she is jacked him but the avatar looks like the brother. There was that fun scene where the queen had to hide her eyes. It also helped that every scene had stakes, no matter how small. And there were plenty of tiny pay offs. I did like the scene outside the bar and the following scene inside the bar.

I enjoyed it while the Queen thought it was okay.

I tried to watch Ep02 of The Peripheral last night. Amazon Prime wouldn't load. It kept saying something went wrong. Sure it did.

bummer. e2 was what got me really invested in the story. the development of her brother's story is pivotal..

Yay Andor!

Surely you can watch both tonight. They're just like an hour ep each. That's like only a little more than half the length of a decent Tollywood flick...

Ep02 I watched. It was good. I'm glad to see CGM doesn't take any shit in the future. Gun play! I'm happy to see all the different plot lines. Invisible cars are cool. If you do need to bury a dozen bodies, it's good to have a back hoe. I like that people are smart. I'm glad there is another episode still in the queue which I might watch tonight.

I was going to make some snarky menage a trois comment but as I contemplated it, I got really nauseous.

E4 Flynn and Burton are so good at the complicated dynamics of siblings. This ep also digs into Wilf and  Aelita so it’s sort of a sibling theme. There’s some fascinating development with Lev and Charise although upon reflection, not all that much happens in this ep. It’s more backstory, foreshadowing and character development - not much action.

Still digging this show - really getting into it now. I love the characters and story. Very entertaining and fully D00M recommended now. Come watch what me & Greg are on about.

Ep03 Phoebe and I are enjoying this. There is so much they aren't telling us. And i'm sort of remembering the book upon which this is based, which helps. I do like the interplay with drug kingpin overlord. He is nice and evil. And the bee keeper woman is also a piece of work. Good to seeCGM keeps on fighting her and holding her own.

Okay, aboard.  Just one episode so far.  Helluva cliffhanger to walk away from.
