bigfoot, Bigfoot, BIGFOOT! It's not always about Bigfoot, ya know! [flips hair, flounces from room in a huff]
In the Tudor Period, Fencing Masters were classified in the Vagrancy Laws along with Actors, Gypsys, Vagabonds, Sturdy Rogues, and the owners of performing bears.

No Buddhist temples in the US have Bigfoot relics though...

Stacy was a coyote this morning on our street. She took a pic but only caught it’s butt form far away. It’s the 2nd one she’s seen in a week. We think the fires are making them come down.

How did Stacy become a Coyote is the real question....
As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm

I saw a raccoon on our street at 10am yesterday. Extra strange because I haven't seen any around here at night in a long time.

We’ve had raccoons invade our bungalow while we were out. I’ve kept a dragon cane by my front door ever since - useful home defense in either direction.
There was a mountain lion near San Lorenzo river recently, a short walk from our bungalow. The fires have driven a lot of wild animals into the hood. My neighbor is hosting a couple and their kid who got burned out of Bonny Doon and they said there’s been a lot of mountain lions up there lately.

Quote:Mountain Lion Spotted In Santa Cruz The puma was caught and relocated (the article reporting that was behind a paywall). Neary Lagoon was where I lived when I first came to the Cruz in '86. The apartment complex that I rented for my first year of grad school was on the edge of the lagoon. It was lovely. This is about 2 miles from where we live now. Stacy has been troubled by the increase in coyotes and mountain lions in our area. She takes Yuki for walks at dawn - a time when twilight predators prowl. The fire destruction is driving them down into our hood. Plus there's the anti-maskers. If we could only get those coyotes and pumas to wear masks.

Surf was huge this past weekend. Tis the season!

Yeah, I got a surfer RM padawan who's in town. She surfs the world and has been up at HMB for some time now. If not for the pandemic, I'd go check it out...if I could find parking.
Stacy has been foregoing Yuki's beach walks because the surf has been so rough and the beach is narrow now. And I know Maverick's ain't the Cruz, but I'm posted it here anyway.
