There's been a copter circling over the Cruz for like half an hour already. It's hecka noisy. Annoyingly so. I think it's a police copter.

In other news: for those of you who know Narrye, the incident that took place in Ben Lomond on Saturday night was directly in front of her house, and she and her son, Chris, were caught up in the events. Chris and their neighbor helped subdue the armed suspect until the police arrived. Then, two hours later, Chris was smoking a cigarette in their backyard when 7 police snipers came out of the trees and told him to put his hands in the air. They also noticed Narrye watching from their window, and directed her to “come out slowly with her hands up,” while they also trained their rifles on her. They were both taken to the command center and interviewed where, of course, the police realized that they were ok. Although the police would not allow them to go back to their house only a few hundred feet away, due to safety concerns, this morning they were allowed to return.

Narrye Cadwell is one of the Tai Chi instructors there. I don't really know her. I just know of her. We don't really cross paths.

Night fireworks have been escalating. Getting pretty big and close. 

Someone new to Seabright posted on our NextDoor bulletin board 'Did anyone hear those fireworks?' Welcome to C-brite. Just wait two more weeks and this here hood will really blow.

c-brite is blowin up, like very year. constant fireworks, occasional flashes, plenty of sirens.

Lots of booms, more than ever before, unrelenting.  I think it's all the pent-up frustration.  It looks like welders at work on San Ramone, very bright sparklies crackling away.

Was there a partial lunar eclipse tonight?  I think we missed it.

I'm hoping whatever is gorging on our garden in every conceivable way gets frightened by all this.  But right now I'm smelling skunk.  If he's the culprit, he'll just dig under my protective fencing.

Still poppin here. It's a crystal clear night - perfect for fireworks. It's often foggy here. Only I have yet to see any. I went to look at the lunar eclipse and the moon is super bright but I couldn't see it really. It reaches its apex in about 45 mins but I'm not going to make it there, unless the fireworks keep me up.

Okay that was gunfire. Maybe 6 or 8 rounds. Sounded like a small handgun. Assholes. 

Went to peep the lunar eclipse. Could kinda see it. Twas a gorgeous moon.

Quiet. So, very, very , very quiet. It's a lovely change from the months of gunfire and fireworks I would hear every year around the Fourth and New Year's. The only disruption is a goddamn dog barking her head off in my garden.
