It was a packed flight and the dude sitting in my aisle (a medic because he had a roll of medical tape hung off a carabiner on his backpack like medics do) coughed for the entire flight. Thankfully there was a lone empty seat between us.
Pick up went well and I visited my host Jerry’s school, which was really nice. Also met Peter Morales there, a pioneer of modern wushu in the US who I hadn’t met before. Nice fellow.
We went over to Jerry’s home where we met his wife Maria, his cat Ben, and feasted on sushi, plus some nice teeling’s blackpitt brought back from Dublin last year. Swapped many stories. It was very pleasant.
