Not dead: FORM festival. I've never heard of it, but it's been held at Arcosanti in Arizona since 2013.

Architect Palo Soleri was a disciple of Frank Lloyd Wright and had a vision for eco-designed communities. To fund his projects, the foundation made bells in their foundry at Cosanti https://cosanti.com/pages/visit-and-tour which you might remember back in the day at The Nature Conservancy stores in every shopping mall. Cosanti was like a proof-of-concept for building construction methods he was developing. When I was at SJSU, they brought him in as a guest lecturer to talk about that and his massive urban project which started in the 70's: Arcosanti https://www.arcosanti.org What I remember most was the method they used for giant structures, like the dome. They would build I giant mound of dirt, sculpt it, then rebar over the top, pour concrete, then excavate the mound of dirt to reveal the vault space.
In the late 80's, we took a road trip to visit Cheryl's grandparents on the rez in Ft. Defiance and we stopped at Arcosanti for a tour. It was kind of long in the tooth, unfinished, a bit scrappy, and VERY hippy. I remember playing hacky sack with people there under the amphitheater dome. It's nice to see the space being used. Looks like several folks from Outside Lands in this years lineup.
