Since there is potential, I finally have to get the film ready to be shown in theaters. That requires I send the files off and have a Digital Cinema Package made. When you don't use film, this is what projector uses to show the film. So, for the first time in about 10 months I'm looking at Iron Crotch again. I'm finding lots of little format errors. And one big error from when I went in updated the Chinese language titles. For some reason I had a title running the length of the film.
Currently the film is being transferred into ProRes 422HQ which is one of the preferred formats. Lated today I'll upload the many, many gigabyte file to SimpleDCP, the company that will do the encoding. At some point in the future, I will go to Burbank and watch the film at SimpleDCP to see if everything looks right.
