Heading back to Chicago for four days of work. It’ll take me 11 hours to get there, and 11 hours to get home, so I’ve dedicated a full day for travel each way, so a six-day trip total. The good part is that I’ll see one good friend that I’m genuinely looking forward to seeing as soon as I get there. The bad part is that I’m staying at a hotel near the airport and seeing nothing but the office and the hotel for those four days. Most of my mealtimes have already been booked with meetings. It will probably be nice to see some of my colleagues again… sad, but I haven’t left yet and I’m already looking forward to coming home.
Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
