KB & tg form another band - it’s sorta prof math rock. They need a drummer and ask DM to join. Armed with a snare, a kick drum & 1 cymbal, DM goes for it despite a complete lack of any ability to keep time. The new band plays a pizza parlor and DM is terrible, so bad thst it goes viral. KB & tg decide to keep DM on because the exposure is getting gigs but DM is reluctant being the butt of so many joke memes. Some critics get racist which fuels DM’s resolve to stay with the band, but he gets stuck in the paradox of getting better with practice which starts to ruin his popularity as a joke musician.
Psychoanal: a lot of neurosis here, probably exacerbated by DM’s looming summer schedule and recent sociopolitical trends. Also Angine de Poitrine was earwormed its way into DM’s subconscious.
I'd watch that movie...who would play DM? (Who would play KB and TG?) the pizza parlor would be Jakes, of course...
