I'm like 4 eps deep on this and it's befuddling. It's a post-apocalyptic Japan deep in a nuclear winter as the nation has divided into three kingdoms vying for power. There are a lot of characters and it's complex, lots of political turmoil parses by katana decapitations. Based on a manga from 2021, at first I thought its homosexual overtones were a bit much, but it has a unique style, anime on steroids, darting back and forth between military tactics, goofy humor, man butts, and sanguineous katana action. I keep thinking I'll quit but then some scene will give me pause and make me wonder where this is all going. So I'm still watching it. The anime is being released in weekly installments.
