When I saw who sent this message, I immediately reached for disappointment. Boston isn't supposed to announce for months and I had hopes since they accepted Stro for screening. Turns out it was a just a message to say "Hey, we got your film". Come  on, Boston, don't scare me like that.

Thank you for submitting your work to the 42nd Annual Boston Film Festival. We truly appreciate the time, creativity, and dedication that went into your film, and we are honored that you chose to share it with us.
All submissions will now enter our official screening process. Our screening committee will carefully review your film to ensure a thoughtful and thorough evaluation. Given the volume of submissions we receive each year, this process may take some time, but please know that every film is given the attention it deserves.

We will be in touch once the screening process is complete to inform you of our decisions and any next steps.
