That was a bit of alright. I wanted it to be better. Less jokey. I kept catching echos of other sci-films which I found distracting:
- the Orion shuttle docking scene from 2001
- the communication scenes from arrival
- the drone Louie getting blown off the Valley Forge when they go thru Saturn's rings
- a fair bit of ET
