This book pissed me off a little, mostly because I could see what the author was doing rather quickly. He had very little martial arts experience, so he did some webresearch and followed up on it. His follow up is ok - he goes to Wudang, Shaolin and a UFC fight, but it's all very cursory with plenty of shallow generalizations. He's a decent writer though, so he acheives some funny moments of self deprecation, but overall, it's just webresearch with some follow up questions/travels.
The hardest part for me was the persistant notion that I could have written this and done it more accurately. Time to crack on my book...
His first book was Pot Planet, which sounds better.
