Batman Ninja vs Yakuza League
Seen on my phone thru the Alaska airlines in flight app which is the wrong way because I don’t get sound, just subtitles, and the visuals are too grand for such a tiny screen. I’ll have to see this again more properly.
This picks up right where the last film left off. Batman and his multiple sidekicks return to Gotham but everything is wrong. The time travel shifted reality and there’s a floating Japan over Gotham that sends yakuza tornados to the city streets. The Justice League and DC villains are recast as yakuza hitmen in warring clans wifh japonified names. It’s more anime eye candy and fun twists on the iconic heroes. Now I want to see these two films back to back. And I want a threequel.
If you only see 1 DC animated film, let it be Batman Ninja, and you’ll want to see this sequel too.
