H is on her way to the airport now, will be joining her bio-parents on a Thanksgiving cruise. This is a joint 80th birthday thing for her folks, who are dedicated cruise-people. H’s relationship with her folks is fraught* and this is the “Last Hurrah” for any family outings. Needless to say, H has been Not Looking Forward To This. I’m hoping she gets through it better than she thinks she will, but her assessments for these things are based on a lifetime of experience. She’ll return on a week from Saturday, assuming that she is not being held someplace on charges.
