Just before I left for ATL (http://brotherhoodofdoom.com/phpBB3/view...=18&t=1440) we discovered we had been robbed. We think it was Monday, because Mrs. Dm came home and discovered our sliding glass door was left unlocked (thought it was an oversight of one of us) and an odd light was on. We were so wrapped up in the elections that we didn't catch the details. I noticed my Dali Tarot deck was knocked over but figured it was the cat. Later, I noticed some lapel pins were on the floor, which was weird because I keep them in an old tea container, and it was on the shelf. Then I noticed my cache of pin money was gone, along with a sack of pocket change that I was meaning to take to the coinstar soon. The perp got around $300-400 in cash and the diamonds that I've given Mrs. Dm over the years - about $1Ks worth. Still not sure about the total damage. The perp was smart and managed to snag some pin money that was in a very un-obvious place (and y'all might remember how messy I keep my study - it's worse than ever now). I suspect the guard pom led the perp to that stash.
Tomorrow I'm taking a comp day to replace the locks, check for more losses and such. It's also t's 9th b-day, so there will be festivities to attend.
