Axes & Ales.
The meeting this morning was painful. We are each presenting ways we can make our job more efficient. The first presenter put together a rather polished presentation with a wipe board. The second presenter had handouts and she was the only female there and the first presenter kept interupting her, so much that I thought she was on the verge of tears, but it came together at the end. Three more presentations tomorrow including me, but I only have a few points to make and no handouts or anything.
It was painful because the time change is killing me. I hardly slept last night and got up at 4am PST this morning, and gassed out in the meeting despite coffee & iced tea. Most of the discussion was about restocking, which I am not involved in at all.
Fortunately the meeting only went until lunch. Then us boys (the boss and the two other guys) headed over to Axes & Ales. I had a crispy haddock sammich and fries, which was satisfying in that hella greasy beer food way. Then we went to throw axes. I indulged a Guinness on tap, which was refreshing but I started feeling bloated because I've been eating too damn much out here.
Greg & PPFY know how the rest of this story goes. I'm a crappy thrower. It's one of those skills I never learned at all. We threw axes for an hour and I only got a few to stick, and only hit a couple targets, including a rubber duck in the duck module (targets were projected on plywood and had a selection of different games - in the rubber duck game, hitting the rubber duck cost you points). The first presenter was the best - he's a drummer and was sticking his axes like crazy winning most of the rounds.
I still feel a bit bloated.
