Soul Rebels feat. Goapele opened. A night of hip hop & R&B. It was all about brass. Tight horns all night. Any band that lays down its bass with a sousaphone is alright by me. A mellow night medically. We were 6 JMers strong with 4 slugs. Ate well backstage - wylder caters and they do a fine job. Healthy, tasty, fresh. Everyone was in a good mood at medical and the team came together wonderfully. Lots of laughs and sharing. Luv working with these bright eyed bushy tailed collegians - undergrads aiming for pre-med. JM was 3 nurses 1 er doc & Ben & me. Got a call backstage for a seizure but it was just a syncopal from a big ol’ hit off a joint. Welcome to the Cruz. We got the herb. My yoga nurse bumped into the witness who was a midwife she worked with over the years. She also snuck her daughter & her boyfriend jn. At the end, there was another gal who jumped off the bleachers and heard a pop. She knew the general manager somehow. We helped her get to her car. She was 13 but with her mom and they had a big circle of supportive friends. 

All in all, a very pleasant evening. Warm night, good people, yummy food, hot horn attacks. The Quarry is good.
