Also worthy of note: the knife throwing scene in Kung Fu Hustle still makes me laugh out loud.  Chow's comic timing in that scene is spot on.

Watched KFH again. JJ had never seen it and Tara knew she enjoyed Shaolin Soccer so it was a good choice. It holds up astonishingly well - even the cheesiest of special effects. And I know way too much about this film. I know two of the three pigsty champions and I’ve met and interviewed the villain. I know too much about the landlord and landlady. I refrained from what would’ve been a running commentary as both Tara & JJ were astounded by how great and funny this is. It was delightful to watch someone experience it for the first time.

And the knife throwing scene still makes me laugh out loud. I feel this is a how’s masterpiece.
