Nose to the grindstone 2025

New to me. I had only been there once before to meet with the managers and that was many years ago. We met in an office near the bookshop. This was the first time I explored the grounds.

We did the 6 mile loop which I believe has been there for a while. It was lovely. Only saw 8 people (only 1 was alone) and they were not chatty. Did not fall on our ass. Stacy was in full pack so I could keep up with her. She broke a shoulder strap so good thing that happened here and not backpacking (she uses an ancient external frame pack from the 70s - she replaced shoulder straps a few years back but those were for a daypack - I just replaced her hip belt yesterday). Yuki has a blast but almost got in a fight with a wild turkey protecting her chicks. 

Now I’m thinking nap…
