Crashed early yesterday evening and have completed 3 solid sleep cycles (I tend to wake after a sleep cycle and usually can go right back to sleep). Feeling more rested already. Sunday was a recovery day which will hopefully soften the blow of Monday - the return to the default world gets harder as I get older. It’s something I ponder about fantasy literature - what happens to Alice when she returns from Wonderland? Or Lucy when she comes back from Narnia? Or Harry when he reenters the muggle world from the wizarding world? Do they get depressed? Because it’s a harsh culture shock.
Anyways, today is work (2 telemeets plus spam programming), a zoom interview with Daniel Wu, and laundry. I did a load yesterday (my camping banners needed washing before putting them away for the season) and I did some of my gear but I need to do my weekly laundry. Laundry is such mundane default world shit, perhaps why I obsess about it here.
25 hours ago I was stumbling back to my camp after the best after party of 2024 - arguably the best after party since the pandemic. Maybe the best one since I was on dead tour some 29 years ago…
