One of the naive things you can say about stings is that you're not allergic. In many people, the toxins are cumulative. Just because you didn't have a reaction before, the next sting might push you past the brink. Glad she went because those looked pretty nasty online - they'll probably give her an Rx antihistamine and maybe some topical steroids. Better that than anaphylaxis.
