I was supposed to see this and now I have. It's a big old melodrama seasoned with an assassin's story. It was kind of okay. The movie really didn't get hopping until about ninety minutes in with the fight in the assassins restaurant but the story kind of kept me interested. I did feel that our lead didn't have the muscle mass to be that good of a fighter but I went with.
The fight sequences where they showed possible outcomes of the fight was a bit of an emotional cheat, manipulated by the filmmakers to feel bad our lead was dead only to find out we'd been tricked. I didn't much care for it but it did pay off nicely in the final big fight in the big boss's office when you had dozens of scenarios happening all at once.
The only missed opportunity I thought was they never went into the parentage of Kill's daughter. I thought for sure it was going to be the Big Boss's child but they never explained it. And how did Kill take time out to have a baby?
The bar fight in Vladivostok was really good, too.

As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm
