I gave up on this after about 75 pages. I was interested because he wanted to trace a line from the Dadaists through the Situationists to Punk. Unfortunately it didn't really work for me. I found it terribly overwritten, like he wants to be poetic when it would be better just to say it straight. And he takes tenuous connections and correlations and treats them as causal or plays them up in ways I found unconvincing. No wonder I've seen so many used copies.
