Three Pines (2022)
#5
I guess they are releasing these episodes two at a time which is good because after seeing episode 03, I really wanted to see Episode 04

Ep03 starts with the older residents heading out to the Indian School (former home of the murder victim of the previous episodes) where they find the younger residents of three pines having a bit of satanic get together with booze and Ouija boards. The elders split up to search the house/school and while separated one of them vanishes. Gamarche is brought in to locate the missing man. He is still in the dog house with his boss and this is a bit of a punishment detail.

Meanwhile they Gamarche and his squad are still tracking down the missing indian girl from the nearby reservation. Gamarche keeps having nightmares about the girl and one gave a really good jump scare.

Ep04 wraps up the case. So far the cases last two one hour episodes. There is a lot of misdirection about the whodunnit but it seemed pretty clear about who did it, although I didn't guess the motivation. Still pretty good stuff. The biggest weakness for me is I've seen too many police procedurals and these people abuse those procedures all the time. They don't spend a lot of time getting warrants (do they do that in Canada?) or calling in help.
As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm
