Funny Story.
Did I push against the pain to do my walks? Yes. Did it hurt? Somewhat. Did my knee give out when i was farthest from the house as I navigated a steep little spot of steps? Also yes? Did I fall? Yes. Did I bleed? Definitely. I even said ow many, many times as I lay there in the burr filled weeds.
I did actually think I could walk back up the steep hill the half mile to the house. The knee said no. It said no about a lot of things. Don't move. Don't get up. Just sit here in the dirt. Fortunately, I was able to text the Queen to come and get me. Fortunately, I had a set of crutches in the garage which I used to get from the car to the house. I now have an icepack on the knee (The Queen insisted against my stubbornness) and I'm contemplating taking the whole bottle of ibuprofen. Good thing I did this today because the Queen leaves tomorrow for a week.
Am I angry? Yes. Stupid body.

As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm
