I'll be looking into getting my name on her checking account next. My mom can still sign checks - it just means I need to get her to do that. 

There are more immediate issues that need to be sorted.

My mom will be discharged on Monday. I've been in dialog with the home where I'm hoping to place her, and the manager has approved her after an eval today. The issue is that the hospital bed might not make it there by Monday - it's snarled in insurance. 

Note that I have yet to sign contracts and such for this place, so there's still plenty more that might go afoul.
