2am DOG ALERT. I thought I had forestalled the dog alert by removing the cat food bowls from the garage. The night before the DA went off because a raccoon had come by for a snack. Havoc and Mayhem, however were barking from the living room. Something on the porch was disturbing them. I opened the door off our bedroom to shoo away the culprit. I found a cow. That's not typical. We stared at each other before she went around the corner. I followed cursing the darkness or I would have taken pictures. Around the corner was a second cow. Both gave me the stink eye before turning tail and moseying off.
After that interaction I was up and awake. Restless until the 4am alarm woke me from a dream where I was just going to bed in my parents house.
