I dunno - that sign was on hwy17. Seems like a dumb place for a promo.
The screener happened in two theaters - one with the red pill and the other with the blue. I went with red. Made me wonder if the blue pill was a different experience. That would be kinda cool - like the original Clue film.
It’s okay. It was good to be back in the matrix.
SF looks great - so many panoramic shots showing off the city at magic hour. That’s worth the big screen. The first half is great - the new glitch is witty and I was quite entertained - some good Easter eggs. But then it loses speed in the ‘real’ world, kinda like the original trilogy - 1st part is great then the next two which were outside the matrix in the ‘real’ world were muddled.
I was very disappointed by the fight choreo. This franchise set a high bar and that was not met.
D00M recommended for the first act, the second act notsomuch - might be better on HBO especially given the omicron surge.
