I cheaped out this time and got the ones covered by insurance. (I think my plan is lenses every year and frames every two.) These were an Italian name I'd never heard of. They look almost exactly like the Ray Bans, and they are black, which is like a tribute to my dad, who always wore black frames. Plus I didn't want to be without my glasses while I get new lenses. I did that last time and it was a pain. I'll probably switch back next time I need new lenses. With two pairs I think I'll leave the old ones at work.
Super cold here this morning. My phone said 33. I ran the heater in the garage while I rowed. I covered the Jade out front last night; hopefully nothing else froze. Going to Menlo Park later and hitting Feldman's Books while Christina does a house call. They had to move out of their place to a smaller one, but now it's downtown by the Trader Joe's, so parking is easier.
