I think I went to JSC when we saw one of the Voyager launches (from spectator/persona non-grata distance), so probably '77(?). I recall the VAB tour with the Apollo mission simulation and the Visitor Center. I also recall that I got a burger at the cafe which wasn't particularly great, and that there was a gator on the other side of a short fence by the picnic area, so I dropped my burger over the fence and it landed on his snout. He eventually scarfed it down. Lastly, I remember that we too a bus down and back from my grandparents house and off the sides of the freeway you could see these giant spiders in webs between the palm trees.
