I'm more broken than you
When I took a neurological hit a couple years ago, it started with a loss of balance. I had taken a break from cleaning the rat-ravaged garage (a month and a half ordeal), was lying on the floor in the house, got up, and very nearly did a face-plant. I'd never had any such experience like that. I decided to take a longer break after that. Also, I did some checks. Was any part of my body numb? Nope. I went in the bathroom and made faces at myself in the mirror to check that all my muscles worked symmetrically. There's a danger in this check. I got so mad at my reflection showing disrespect that I punched and broke the mirror.

The problem seemed to pass, but then it came back to a lesser extent. I'd bang into the edge of doorways, or into a hallway wall. I'd overshoot when I leaned over to pick something up. Something in me had changed.

I did get brain MRIs and XRAYs that didn't show a mini-stroke, but from I've heard lately, those aren't always easy to detect.

I was checked for BPPV. Not the problem. But you should definitely check for that.

Some other things you might check. Juggling ability. I used to have substantial juggling skills with three balls. Lots of weird patterns. Now? I can't keep them going three seconds.

Handwriting. Try this. Write a check for a sizable sum to me and sign it and mail it. If it clears, that's a very good sign. My signature is crap. I'm always surprised it doesn't get rejected these days.

Typing. I don't type and post 1/20th the stuff I think of for DOOM these days. So many typos, and it's exhausting. Don't ask how long this post took. The fact that you're posting like usual today is a good sign.

I'm tired. I'll stop here before I hit a key that clears everything. Good luck. Hope it's just a brief aberration.
