Summer of Soul (Hulu)
#1
Directed by Questlove. Footage that has been in storage for 50 years. This is the story of the 3rd annual Harlem Cultural Festival, where it fit in the context of 1969, civil rights, and what it meant to the black and brown. It's not like The Woodstock movie, the performance footage is limited to only a couple of songs per artist, but opens with 19 year old Stevie Wonder playing a song and then getting behind a drum set and doing a wild, long drum solo.

I wonder if that’s Questlove’s editing, or if opening with a drum solo actually happened.

Powerful singing from Mahala Jackson and Mavis Staples. Great performance by Sly (who also played Woodstock)
