Ep5 Mare of Easttown still has depression on speed dial but remains very engrossing as we are reaching the endgame of the series. I was afraid this was going to be the last episode because they solved one of the biggest mysteries, in the most dramatic ways possible.
They also did something the series has never done and was completely unexpected: The show made me laugh out loud. The laughter was probably over exaggerated because it was so unexpected. If I were to just tell you what happened, you probably wouldn't see the humor. But after 5 hours downer town, it was so cathartic. Of course, right after that, things went back immediately into the toilet. Never move to Easttown. People there have problems.
