I'm more broken than you

You know, I've never watched it. I started the first one but bailed. It just didn't work for me. I blame ED for burying so much PTSD with this sort of cinema deeply in my brain.

Rub dirt in it.

Just kidding. I just wanted to make LCF remember why she should never advise you to seek my advice.

Here's the real advice (far be it from me to challenge a Jeopardy champ and I'm astonished and honored that she'd bother to remember that I've got a lot of scars with her brain stuffed with facts about the Yellow River and such...)

I have used a lot of these sorts of products. Scar Away and Mederma are pretty good, although pricey. I'd recommend starting with those, then moving to a cheaper alternative like just a Vitamin E gel (I use that now after every bath) and aloe (I have a huge plant in my yard that I should harvest for this but I've been using a store bought gel). I also used abrasive scrubbing gloves in the shower to help slough off old skin.

But truth be told, scars are hard dispel. I've found that using scar treatments like these helps with the initial healing process but at a certain point, you just gotta live with them.

I used to tan them off, or at least reduce them, lighten them a little. I'm not supposed to tan anymore because of one of the rx meds I'm on that makes me photosensitive.

Scars are sexy. Just keep telling yourself that. Schlaeger anyone?
