I’ve never studied aikido. I read O-sensei and his son (who’s name I can’t remember right now and am not going to bother looking up) and found them both brilliant in their philosophy and approach. My grand uncle practiced aikido and showed me some redirection tricks when we toured Mexico (my high school graduation present from my grandfather).
