A friend of ours (Oliver) entered that competition to get a seat on the SpaceX dragon capsule going up this fall. It will be taking up some tourists.
He lost.
However, there were some booby prizes.
He won a free trip down for VIP viewing of the launch. (Air travel covered, maybe hotel.) It's scheduled to launch on September 15.
Oh, it's a package deal -- for four.
He's asked LCF and I if we're interested.
We sort of said fuck yeah.
But September's a long way away, and a whole lot could happen in the interim to get in the way. But that's true for all of us for everything. So I've decided to give a tentative hip hip hooray.
