I expected to dislike this. Every time I saw a preview with the machine gun stuck in Rose McGowan's leg stump, I was wondering, what exactly she did to "pull the trigger" and thinking, "Ew, ick!"

But I gotta say, for the most part, I actually enjoyed myself. There were some great lines and I laughed out loud several times. The violence was cartoonishly overboard and so not particularly disturbing (except for the first half of the f***ing car chase.)

The part I disliked was the excessively dull, talky first half of Deathproof. The only purpose I can see for it is to give a little depth to Kurt Russell's character and so that Quentin had a chance to act in that one, too. Snore. Waste of time. Sort of like worrying about a plot in a porno -- it's not like any of this was intended to be believable so why waste time with dialog that doesn't tell you anything?

I thought Roasario was great, Kurt was great, Rose McGowan was fantastic. Jeff Fahey was hysterical.

One thing confused me, and I suppose it's just a reference I'm missing. Sidney Poitier was in the opening credits for Deathproof. Why???
Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
