I never really liked that theater myself....Hey, there's still the Del Mar, the Nick, and I think, the Riverfront, all within a few blocks of each other. For the rest of the county (if they're still hanging on), there's the 41st Theater in Capitola, the Scotts Valley multiplex, and the Watsonville multiplex. I think that's it.
Pre-covid, we lost (for film): The Rio, the Drive-In, The Aptos Twin, The Fox (in Watsonville), The Soquel (not sure of the name, but it was a normal theater and is now a church, and used to show adult films for a spell before finding Jesus). The Capitola Theatre (in the village). There might have been more, maybe up in SLV. Like newspapers, movie-houses are a dying breed.
