Yeah, Michelle Khan (I concur with DM's preferred name) is majorly uppity with her lower extremities. She kicks high butt.

But there was a time when Jackie did too. Not that I'm criticizing his recent efforts. It's hard to knock someone for getting old. But I keep forgetting just what he was capable of doing.

Recently I saw a clip from Drunken Master II, which was a strain to watch, because he was trying so hard to be drunk and cute and it just didn't quite work. Speaking of work, did I mention wires?

Then I saw a clip from Wheels on Meals. I think that's what it's from. He fights Benny the Jet, who was a brutal ring fighter in real life until John Cusack finished him off in Grosse Point Blank (so sad and disrespectful an ending). The problem with Benny was that he didn't know how to pull punches, and he kept breaking Jackie's nose in this scene. Jackie got so pissed that he was going to fight him in the ring -- until Sammo showed him video of some of Benny's fights. Anyway, Benny forced Jackie to a whole new level.
Here's a link to the fight. It's captioned "The Greatest Fight Scene Ever."
For once I'm not certain I can disagree. Is is wonderfully inventive, masterfully paced, filled with humorous touches, and they both wear each other down in a very believable way.
