Paul Fieg directs from a script by Emma Thompson a Christmas story about a young woman, Kate, struggling to come to grips with life after heart transplant surgery. She is basically a drunken mess until a mysterious stranger comes into her life played by Henry Goulding.
It's not great. It's a redemption story but Kate, played by Emilia Clarke of Game of Thrones, is so unlikable that I didn't want to continue watching it. But you have to be down before you go up I guess.
It probably would have helped if I liked the songs of George Michael more or at all. The inspiration for the title comes from Michael's song "Last Christmas" but the whole soundtrack is littered with Wham!/George Michael tunes. And Kate even sings the song. It get's annoying.
Despite good reviews, I'm going to forget I saw this film starting immediately.

As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm
