When he criticised the Irish government for not meeting the DATA target of 0.7% of GDP to be set-aside for the 3rd World - a government minister, Conor Lenihan, suggested that if he paid his taxes then the government would be half way to meeting the figure. The recent decision to move U2 companies out of Ireland to avoid tax has added to the heat.

Hats off to Bono. Or rather, not. According to the Globe, the U2 singer reportedly spent $1,700 on a first-class ticket to fly his favorite hat from London to Italy. No word on whether the topper enjoyed the complimentary beverage service and greater leg room of first class

I still think The Edge and Adam Clayton are musical masterminds, but anyone can front that band. We need to hold "U2 Idol" auditions and dump Mr.sunglasses-at-night.
