A story about my sister. She's been having a rough patch of late. Not only is she dealing with my mother constantly, but her work at Prospect High has taken a turn for the disastrous. In a nutshell, a younger teacher wants some of the special classes that my sister teaches and has convinced the principal to give them to the younger teacher. The principal has put up a job listing for my sister's job. My sister will now have to interview to see if she can have her job. Despite the fact, she is retiring at the end of next year. All the principal and the younger teacher had to do was wait one school year to not be complete dicks.
So, I'm giving my sister a bit of a pass for the following incident.
I got a strange email that started out as a text message. I didn't know who it was from. It talked about greed and birthday gifts. Very odd.
I'm on the phone with my sister and she asks did I get her text. I said no at first and then asked about the strange email/text. She said that was from her. She wanted to know if I was mad at her. The reason she thought I was mad at her was because I hadn't sent her any birthday presents this year. What? I was about 80% sure that I had sent her some presents and said so. But I had to check.
I went to Amazon and quickly found the gifts I had sent her. They were delivered several days after her birthday. I texted my sister pack with the invoices. I emailed the companies to find the tracking numbers for the packages. One company immediately emailed me back with the info.
My sister texted back that she had never seen them.
And then she texted back that she loved the gifts. I was unsure what she meant. Did she love the idea of them from the pictures. Nope. She had the gifts. She had the received them. She had forgot about them and then lost them in her computer/craft room. Yes, my sister had lost the gifts I sent her in her own house.

As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm
