Well, that was entertaining. Thor lost all the weight he put on in Endgame and goes to Bangladesh to rescue a drug lord's son. But then things go Tits up. That's it. That's the plot. But there is so much fun coloration. Lots of double crosses. Lot's of stabbing. Lots of shooting. Lots of cringe worthy moments where you get to react viscerally. In the center of it all is the 12 minute one- shot. It was a technical achievement because it did so much. I'm curious to know how long they rehearsed, although it can be broken down into bits because there were a lot of hidden cuts in it.
It is an MCU offspring since Joe Russo of the MCU Russo brothers fame wrote it. David Harbour, an upcoming person in the MCU in Black Widow, makes an appearance. And Thor of course.
There's a lot of father-son theme going throughout the film. There is a big pause in the middle where everyone catches their breath and talks about their feelings. But it passes.
The Queen and I engaged in some Doom-esque movie commentary at a few points.
Totally Doom recommend. It's a film the group would have seen together back in the day.
